Masai Mara Travel Packages - Picnic Lunch

Are you looking for an adventure that will excite you? Our 6 Days, 5 Nights Amboseli, L. Naivasha, and Masai Mara travel packages take you to Kenya’s leading attractions. These destinations make Kenya travel packages stand out from the rest of the world

Amboseli National Park is proudly home to some of the largest elephant herds in Africa and one of the few places you can see them up close.  It is also most renowned for having the majestic snow-capped Mt. Kilimanjaro as its background.

Located in Kenya’s Kajiado County, this park is 240 km from Nairobi and can be reached by road or by air. Amboseli National Park Tours showcases different ecosystems ranging from savannah, wetlands, and woodlands.

A significant difference between Amboseli and other parks is its open plains, allowing for easy game viewing from all angles. After the Amboseli, our 6 Days Amboseli, Lake Naivasha, and Masai Mara Safari Package takes you to the lake. Lake Naivasha is only 5-hr away from Amboseli and offers attractions such as board rides and walking safaris among wildlife

Lake Naivasha, or even Lake Nakuru, is a necessary stopover from Amboseli to Masai Mara during a safari due to the long distance. The distance from Naivasha to the Masai Mara is a further 5-hrs, which you will undertake on day four after your L. Naivasha Holiday Packages on day three.

The Mara requires no introduction. It is home to the wildebeest migration from July to October. Other than the migration, Masai Mara vacation packages let you see several animals like lions, buffalos, elephants, leopards, and rhinos.

You will likely encounter other animals like cheetahs, hippos, giraffes, and hundreds of different animal species and birds. It is also one of the few places where you can do game drives and go for cultural tours in a Maasai village. It is located about 260 km from Nairobi. Like Amboseli, you can get to the Mara by road or air.

The Detailed, 6 Days, 5 Nights Amboseli, L. Naivasha, & Masai Mara Tour Packages Itinerary

Our team has outlined the things you can expect during your six days safari in Kenya as seen below. Let us see what the six days Amboseli National Park, L. Naivasha, and Masai Mara National Reserve itinerary offers.

Day 1: Pickup from JKIA, Transfer to Amboseli, & Afternoon Game Drive

You will arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport full of anticipation and happiness to be in the land of safari. We match your enthusiasm, and your professional safari guide will be waiting for you when you arrive.

After formally welcoming you and giving you a brief of your trip, you will embark on the four-hour journey, kick-starting the Amboseli National Park Packages. You will arrive at Amboseli late in the afternoon.

After checking in at the hotel, you will have enough time to freshen up before the afternoon game viewing in a safari vehicle. Amboseli is home to the largest elephant herds in Africa. In this game drive, you will encounter elephants and other wild animals such as lions, buffalos, giraffes, leopards, and cheetahs.

The world’s largest free-standing mountain will be the perfect background as you explore the open plains. Towards dusk, you will return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive at Amboseli National Park with Packed Lunch

The second day of your Kenya safari will start bright and early as there is much to do and see. After a hearty breakfast, you will venture out for a morning game viewing in a 4×4 safari land cruiser. One advantage of Amboseli over other parks is that vegetation is sparse, which makes game viewing easier.

No sooner have you settled in the drive than you will start seeing lions, cheetahs, elephants, gazelles, and many other animals around you. At this time of day, the beauty of the snow-capped Mt. Kilimanjaro is indescribable. Good thing you have your camera with you to immortalize these moments.

The park has numerous swamps attracting many birds, so you will not be disappointed if you are a bird lover. Some of the bird species you should expect to see include pelicans, kingfishers, flamingoes, and crakes.

The next stop during this morning’s game drive is the observation hill. This is among the few places in the park where you can get out of the vehicle and walk around with the safari guide. From the top, you can see all corners of the park.

After an exciting morning game viewing that ends with a picnic lunch at the hill, you will continue with the afternoon adventure. This is the best time to see the animals as they come out to hunt for dinner.

Large elephant families will gather around the watering holes to drink, and the lions will try their luck at catching dinner. You should be heading to the camp in the late afternoon.

Day 3: Transfer to Lake Naivasha – Boat Ride at Lake Naivasha & Walking Safari at Crescent Island

After an exciting tour of Amboseli, your 5 Nights Amboseli, L. Naivasha, and Masai Mara Tour Packages take you to Naivasha. We have chosen Naivasha for a stop because driving straight to the Mara would require being on the road all day. And this is a holiday, after all!

The road trip from Amboseli to Naivasha is about 5-hrs, and we will see you make a stopover at the Great Rift Valley Viewpoint for sightseeing. You will arrive in Naivasha in the afternoon and check-in, take lunch, and then head to the lake in the late afternoon.

Lake Naivasha is ideal for people who want to take a guided boat safari on its water. It is home to several animals like hippos, waterbucks, and different bird species. A guide boat ride at Lake Naivasha is often combined with a visit to Crescent Island

Crescent Island hosts abundant birdlife like fish-eagles, cormorants, and pelicans. It also has more animals per acre than other parks in Kenya, with common sightings being zebra, gazelles, giraffes, waterbucks, and wildebeest. You could spot a hyena, buffalo, or leopard on a lucky day.

Day 4: Transfer to Masai Mara & Afternoon Game Drive at Masai Mara National Reserve

Your cheap Masai Mara Safari Packages now take you to the home of the wildebeest migration, Masai Mara. You will leave Naivasha at dawn, immediately after breakfast. The plan is to get to the Mara by lunchtime, then enjoy your first game drive of Masai Mara travel packages at Mara in the afternoon.

The drive is pleasant, and the hours will fly by. Soon, you will be in the most famous park in the world. You will arrive at the park about 5 hours later and check in at the camp. After freshening up, you will enjoy a lavish buffet lunch, after which you are free to take a nap or a swim before embarking on your first game viewing in a safari car.

Masai Mara National Reserve is a vast savannah stretching as far as you can see, and there will be wild animals everywhere. The afternoon is a perfect time for a game drive as animals come out for dinner. You will be able to see lions, elephants, giraffes, hyenas, wildebeest, antelopes, and a variety of other species.

Your safari guide knows all the best spots in the park, and they will gladly take you to them. They also know quite a bit about the animals and their behavior, so ask if you have any questions.

After about three hours or so, it will be dark, and time to return to the lodge for dinner and entertainment.

Day 5: Full-Day Game Drive at Masai Mara National Reserve with Packed Lunch

This day will start early as there is quite a bit to do in your Masai Mara travel packages. Your guide will pick you up after breakfast for a full-day game viewing. You will carry packed lunch from the hotel to enjoy more of what Mara offers.

This time your safari guide will head to a different area of the park, following tips from other drivers on where the action is. By the Mara River, which comes alive during the wildebeest migration, you will see crocodiles, hippos, and a variety of water birds.

Because the Mara has a high density of wildlife, you can see the big 5- lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and hippo. If you are an avid bird watcher, you will not be disappointed.  The Maasai Mara has over 450 recorded species of local and migratory birds.

Do not forget to bring your binoculars today as there is a lot to see. You will only head to the camp in the evening.

Day 6: Morning Game Drive, Visit a Maasai Village, and Transfer to Nairobi

Your 6 Days Amboseli, L. Naivasha, and Masai Mara travel packages end with one last game drive at Masai Mara. You will take breakfast, check out, and then head for this morning’s game viewing. It allows you to see any animal you might have missed the previous days.

At around 10.30 am, the safari guide will drive out of the park and head to a Maasai village. You will learn a few things about this community before embarking on your road trip back to Nairobi. Lunch is at Narok town as you will arrive in Nairobi in the evening and get a transfer to JKIA.
